Produced as a side project whilst studying at University, Double Yellows is a comedy short film centred around Robbie. After failing another job interview is lost on his way to an anniversary meal with his wife. Without any phone signal or a clue where he's headed, he pulls over in desperation. However, little does he know, it's about to go from bad to worse, as one by one a group of zany characters target him, seeming hellbent on ensuring he doesn't arrive on time...
Ceaseless was my final year film that took us six months to make. It was accredited Film of the Year at the Universtiy of Salford by a special guestUniversity Samyang.
Ceaseless follows the story of two soldiers who are tasked in saving a troop of British soldiers. While on their journey they capture a German soldier, questioning their next move.
This is an innovation of the film Closer (Mike Nichols, 2004). As a group of University students, our module challenged us to create a new way of producing a scene from the film. Our adaptation leads us into combining the elements of film and theatre together. We feel that the actors had a chance to express the character differently through the form of theatre while we captured it using film elements. It entails expressionism within the acting on stage.
This was a short film I produced for my second-year university degree at the University of Salford. I was the producer and assistant director of the film. I collaborated with some of the crew from Rubble, enhancing our work and taking it to the next level for us at the time.
This was a short film I produced for my second-year university degree at the University of Salford. I was producer and co-writer of the film working within a team of 7. This was a great film to work on with it being my first experience of film-making. It was an enjoyable experience and a joy to work with a new team.
I created this for a clothing company named Attivo. The brief I was given allowed me creativity with my editing. This was to create a promotional video for a collaboration that the clothing company was doing. A new release of a T-Shirt where all profits go towards the Black Lives Matter cause.
I enjoyed making this video as I had a lot of freedom allowing me to use my editing skills for creativity. A collaboratively worked with a friend of mine who is a graphical designer to create the images such as the TV or collage background. This was a great help to me as I am still learning to use different applications to do this myself, but she also helped with some imagery that really added to the video overall.
This video took me 12 hours in total, to plan, collect footage and edit together. However, it was a great 12 hours spent to create a video with such passion and for a great cause.
This is a short script I produced for a module in my University course. It was an adaptation of ‘Sticks' (George Saunders). The aim was to write a 12-15 page script with a new genre and story. Feel free to read.
